FLV to Video Converter Pro 2 enables you to add FLV files in 2 ways, from folder and form IE cache.

To add FLV videos from folder
1. Click the "Add FLV" button
on the interface, and you will face the "Open" dialog. You can also click the drop-down button
on the right of the "Add FLV" button, and choose "From Folder".
2. Locate the driver and the folder of the FLV files you want to convert.
3. Click on the FLV file, and you can preview the FLV file on the right of the "Open" dialog with playback control.
4. Select the files and click "Open" button to load the FLV files to the main interface.
To add FLV videos from IE cache
1. Click the drop-down button
on the right of the "Add FLV" button, and choose "From IE Cache". The "IE Cache" dialog pops up.

2. You will get all the FLV files from the "Temporary Internet Files" folder.

You can add and delete files from the file list, view the conversion status of each file, change the output folder of each file.
To add files
Click the "Add FLV" button
on the main menu. For more information about adding FLV files, please refer to Add Files section.
To delete files
To delete a file from the file list, select the file on the list and click the "Delete" button
, or click the drop-down button
on the right of the "Delete" button and choose "Delete Selected".
To delete several files from the file list, press Ctrl on the keyboard and select the files, then click the "Delete" button.
To delete all the files from the files list, click the drop-down button on the right of the Delete button and choose "Delete All".
To view file information

File: Show the directory location of the added file(s) under "File".
Status: Show the status of each added file. If a file has been converted, it will remain in the list if you don't delete it by yourself.
Waiting: It shows that the file is waiting to be encoded.
Converting: It shows when the file is in the process of the conversion.
Successful: It shows that the file has been successfully converted according to the settings.
Cancelled: It shows when the conversion of the file was cancelled.
Failed: It shows that the conversion for the file was failed.
Output Folder: Show the folder for the output file. If you change the output folders of the files and then add new FLV files to the list, by default, the output folder of the newly added files will be the same as the last folder you set.
To change the output folder
Select a file or several files and click the browse button
next to the "Export to…" box, and then select the folder you like.
Export to...: Show the output folder path with the output file name if you select a file in the list. It will only show up the output folder, if you select several files with the same output folder, or remain blank if the selected files are with different output folders.
To change the output file name, select a file and click the drop-down button next to the "Export to…" box, and then choose the folder and enter the name in the "File name" box.
To change the output file format/extension, click the drop-down button
for "Export format" and select the profile you want. For more information about the profile settings, please see the Settings section.
Preview Panel: The Preview panel lets you preview the selected file. Above this panel, you can see simple information of the selected file. If you want to view the detailed information of selected file, you can just click the
button on the left and the detailed information will appear in a semitransparent window. Click again to hide the detailed information.

Play
: Click to play the selected file from the current frame. When you click the video name on the file list, the file will play from the beginning if you keep the box for the Misc settings checked.
Pause
: Click to stop playing at the current frame. The button only shows up when the video is playing.
Stop
: Click to stop playing the selected file.
You can select a preset profile from the box for "Export format", or change the detailed settings by clicking the "Settings" button on the main interface.

Export format: There are some preset profiles for you to choose. These profiles are very useful since they are the most commonly used ones. Click the drop-dowm button
and select a profile you think that suits your requirements.
Add
: Click to add the current settings as a profile so you won't have to specify the same settings again. You can specify the profile name as you like, and it will be added to the "Custom" catalog.
Del
: Click to delete the current profile. This button is only active when you select a custom profile.
To view or change the detailed settings with the video and audio parameters, selct a file in the file list and click the
on the main interface.
Video Settings

Include video in output file: Tick this check-box and you can change video settings. When you select a profile with audio only, this box and the following video settings are grey, so that no video data will be included in the output file. When you select a profile with PSP, this option is grey, which is to make sure that you include the video in the output file, and the video settings can be changed.
Video Codec: Select a video codec for the output file, if other options are available. If you are not sure about the format, please see About File Format.
Frame Rate: Select a lower frame rate for your video if you want to smaller the file size. You can also select "Custom" when it is available for the video. A valid number could only be entered beside the box. When the entered value is bigger than the max value, the max value will be shown after you click other option. When the entered value is smaller than the minimum value, the minimum value will be shown after you click other option.
Bit Rate: You can select a proper bit rate for your video when other options are available. When the "Custom" option is enabled, if the entered value is bigger than the max value, the max value will be shown after you click other option. When the entered value is smaller than the minimum value, the minimum value will be shown after you click other option.
Frame Size: Select a preset frame size or custom frame size for the output video. If you select "Custom", you can set the frame size by changing the width and the height of the frame size. Check the box for "Proportional" to keep the aspect ratio of the original video when you change the width or the height. The related height or width will be changed accordingly.
Audio Settings

Include audio in output file: Check this box and you can change audio settings. When you select a profile with audio only, this box is grey, which is to make sure that you include the audio in the output file, and the audio settings can be changed. When the source file does not contain audio data, this option is grayed out.
Audio Codec: Select an audio codec for the output file.
Sample Rate: Select a proper sample rate for your audio data, if other options are available.
Bit Rate: Select a proper bit rate for y our audio data, if other options are available.
Channels: Select an audio channel for your audio data. Two types are available generally, mono and standard stereo. In profile for 3GP with amr audio codec, only "mono" is available. When you select MPEG as export type and select a DVD option in sub-type, "ac3 channel" is the only option.
Note:
If you select several files in the file list before clicking the "Settings" button, you may find the Apply button
. Click this button to apply the settings you have just made to all the selected files. There are several occasions regarding applying the settings to all the selected files. There are three different kinds of files: Files that have both audio and video, video-only files and audio-only files. If the selected files include different kinds of files, the program will just ignore the settings that cannot be applied.
When all the settings are done, click the "Convert" button
on the main interface, and click the "Start" button
to start converting your file(s). Wait a moment and you can find the generated file(s) in the output folder(s) you specified.

You can see the file path of the source file and the output file, the process of conversion.
You can also check the box for "Close the computer after the encoding completes", if you want to shut down the computer soon after the program finishes the encoding task. If this option is chosen, the program will shut down the computer soon after the conversion is finished. You don't need to wait any longer.
Click "Skip" to skip the conversion of the current file, and the status of the source file in the list will be "Cancelled".
Click "Cancel" to cancel the conversion task, and the status of the source file in the list will be "Cancelled".
Note:
If you want to change the settings, please select a file in the list and click the "Edit" or the "Settings" button to activate most of the options.
Select a file in the file list and click the "Edit" button. Then you can set the time length and image for the output video under the "Clip" tab.
To trim video

1. Select a file in the file list and click the "Edit" button, then go to the Clip tab and find the "Trim" section.
2. To set the start time of the video, click the button when the video plays to the frame you want to start from. You can also enter the exact time point in the "Start time" box and press Enter on the keyboard to keep the change. The third method is to drag the
bar under the top right preview panel to set the time. Click the
button to set the previous frame as the start time, or click the
button to set the next frame as the start time.
3. To set the end time of the video, click the
button when the video plays to the frame you want to end with. You can also enter the exact time point in the "End time" box and press Enter on the keyboard to keep the change. The third method is to drag the
bar under the top right preview panel to set the time. Click the
button to set the previous frame as the end time, or click the
button to set the next frame as the end time.
4. To view the selected time length of the video, refer to value for the "Capture".
To crop video
1. Select a file in the file list and click the "Edit" button, then go to the Clip tab and find the "Crop" section.
2. Drag the dashed frame on the preview panel beside the "Edit" button to crop the video.

3. Alternatively, change the values in the four up-down controls in the "Crop" section.

The value for the "Left" is the number of pixels counted from the left of the original video, while the value for the "Right" is the number of pixels counted from the left of the original video. The value for the "Top" is the number of pixels counted from the top of the original video, while the value for the "Bottom" is the number of pixels counted from the top of the original video.
4. While cropping your video, you can refer to the "Cropped size", which displays the size and aspect ratio of the cropped video so that you can crop the appropriate video for the conversion.
5. To quickly get all the pixels of the original video, click the "Select All" button.
Note:
When you select several files on the file list, the trimming function and cropping function will be temporarily disabled.
You can change the brightness, contrast and volume for the output video.
1. Select a file in the file list, click the "Edit" button, and click the "Effect" tab.

2. To change the video brightness, drag the bar for the brightness line, or change the value in the up-down control for brightness. You can preview the effect in the left preview panel immediately.
3. To change the video contrast, drag the bar for the contrast line, or change the value in the up-down control for contrast. You can preview the effect in the left preview panel immediately.
4. To change the volume, select the percentage from the drop-down box for volume.
Note:
If you select several files in the file list before clicking the "Effect" tab, the preview panel won't show up the effect you change and you may find the Apply button
. Click this button and the current effect will be added to all the selected files.
You can add image watermark to show the logo on the video.
1. Select a file in the file list, click the "Edit" button, and click the "Logo" tab.

2. Check the box for "Add image watermark" to enable the function to add an image as the watermark to the video and edit it.
3. Click the
button in the "Browse" box to browse the image you want to add.
4. To change the position of the logo on the video, choose an option from the drop-down box for "Origin". You can change the value for the up-down controls for "Left" and "Top" to further change the position of the logo.
A negative value for "Left" indicates that the top left corner of the image moves left from the origin. A negative value for "Top" indicates that the top left corner of the image moves up from the origin.
5. To resize the logo, change the value for the up-down controls for "Width" and "Height". If you want to keep the original aspect ratio of the logo, keep the
button active.
6. To change the transparent settings for the image, click the
button to the right of "Browse" box. Then you will face the "Select transparent color" window.

7. Check the box for "Enable transparent color" and move your mouse to the left image, click on the color you want to set as transparent with tolerance settings. You can also change the color by entering values to the RGB (the short term for Red, Green and Blue) boxes.
8. Drag the bar for "Tolerance" to set the colors within tolerance to be transparent.
9. Drag the bar for "Alpha" to change the alpha effect of the entire image.

If you select several files in the file list before checking the box for "Add image watermark", the preview panel won't show up the image you add and you may find the Apply button
. Click this button and the current image watermark will be added to all the selected files.
You can add the text description or caption to the video. 1. Select a file in the file list, click the "Edit" button, and click the "Text" tab

2. Check the box for "Add text watermark " to enable the function to add caption to the video and edit it.
3. Enter the text in the box for "Caption" to show on the video.
4. To set the font effect by clicking the
button beside in the pop-up "Select Font" window. You can set the font style, font size, font effect, etc. for the text you want to show.
5. To change the position of the text on the video, choose an option from the drop-down box for "Origin". You can change the value for the up-down controls for "Left" and "Top" to further change the position of the text.
A negative value for "Left" indicates that the top left corner of the the initial character moves left from the origin. A negative value for "Top" indicates that the top left corner of the initial character moves up from the origin.

If you select several files in the file list before checking the box for "Add text watermark", the preview panel won't show up the text you add and you may find the Apply button
. Click this button and the current text watermark will be added to all the selected files.
