FLV to Video Converter Pro 2
The program tells me that I haven’t installed Flash Player ActiveX Control, what do I need to do?
Please make sure you are using the latest version. If not, please update to the version , then the problem will be solved.
What is FLV?
FLV is the preferred file format for delivering video clips via Flash. It is a specialized file format that has been supported from version 7. FLV files cannot be played back directly but must be embedded in (or linked from) an SWF file. You create (or download) a “container” SWF file from which to play the FLV file. The most common approach is to use an SWF file that functions as a media player with screen and playback controls. Notable users of the FLV format include Google Video and YouTube. Flash Video is viewable on most operating systems
Being very new to this, I have a lot of .flv files which I would like to convert so that we can watch on a television that has standard DVD player. Will this software make this direct conversion?
Our FLV to Video Converter have this function.
You can firstly convert the FLV files into the MPEG format, but you can not play it directly in the DVD player, you need to change it to DVD files by burning software then burn the DVD file on the disc, at that time, you can play the disc in the DVD Player and watch it on TV.
According to your need, you can use Nero software’s burning function to realize the video burning function!
I was in the process of downloading the trial version of your FLV to Video Converter Pro and it says that the publisher could not be verified and there is not a valid digital signature…. What should I do?
The prompt is out of the firewall, which can not recognize our software, so what you need to do is to close the firewall to download. Please rest assured as our software is secure.
When converting this video to MPG I get a tall video. I am using your MPEG2 Video Profile. RealPlayer displays the FLV video correctly. Could you please tell me what I am doing wrong?
What you need to do is as follows:
Under “2 settings–frame size”, choose the frame size of “320*240″ instead of “original” from the drop-down menu. Then the video effect will become what you prefer. Meanwhile under the item of “Help”, you will see the option of Settings. Under “Settings”-”Video”, in the drop-down menu, please choose “stretch” instead of “keep original aspect”, then it will be ok.
The program works well as long as we are logged in as an administrator account.
If I try to run the same program under a non-admin account, when I press the “Convert” button I get the error message: “Unable to write to C://Program Files/Moyea/FLV to Video Pro/Myego.dat”. What should I do?
As to your problem, please give the right of writing of C://Program Files/Moyea/FLV to Video Pro/Myego.dat to non-admin account users. Please operate as follows: under a non-admin account, right click “FLV to Video Pro” and you will see “Properties”; choose “find target”, and you will see “Myego.dat”; again right click “Myego.dat”; under the settings, do not tick the box of “read-only”. Then it will be ok.
Can I change the aspect ratio of the original FLV video and make the output video aspect ratio go with my device screen display?
Yes. It’s easy. You may simply check the box before Add Letterbox to Keep Aspect.
I’ve imported a lot of files and have some of the files checked to convert. During the conversion, can I check more files to convert?
Yes, you can. You can check more files to convert, while the conversion is going on. Moreover, the newly checked files will be converted in the process, you don’t have to click “convert” for another time.
I’m not familiar with the settings. What does the parameter mean to me?
Generally, these settings are for advanced users in need of a specific video with special use. Common users can ignore them. However, these parameters can help to custom a parameter profile exactly goes to your device requirements for a better effect.
I want to know the parameters and make good use of them. Can you give me a detailed explanation of them?
Generally, video quality is related to the video size, the higher the quality is, the larger the video size is going to be. Audio quality is the same.
Video codec and Audio codec are key to how the video is going to be encoded with, e.g. you have selected video codec as WMV8, audio codec is WMA2, and the output format is Zune WMV, then you will get a WMV file with video codec of WMV8 and audio codec of WMA2. If you have selected video codec as WMV7, audio codec is WMA2, and then the output file will be WMV with WMV7 and WMA2 as video and audio codecs respectively.
Resolution is related to the image size with the unit of pixel, generally in ppi (Pixel per inch). The higher the resolution is, the larger the video size is.
Channel is a concept related to the audio. It is with two types of stereo and mono with the respective aural feelings.
Frame rate (fps, frame per second) is related to the video visual effect. The higher the frame rate is the smoother and more vivid the animation will be. However, frame rate adjustment over 75fps will be not that obvious.
Sample rate is to decide the sound connection point, which is related with the audio continuity.
Aspect ratio is the ratio of video width and height.
Is the volume for the output video?
Yes, the Volume Option is for the output video.
I want to backup the videos on my computer and play them with computer software. How to set to make the video smallest in size, while keeping the quality?
Generally, AVI is the best choice, as it is supported by all computer software. The default video codec for the program is the DivX, which can help to shrink the video size, while maintaining the video quality.
What if I convert the same file with the same output format in the same output folder?
The program will generate the output videos in the same folder, with names listed by numbers, e.g. video.avi, video_0.avi, video_1.avi, video_2.avi, etc.
I’ve got a generated AVI/DivX with the program. When I play it in the Windows Media Player, I get only sound but no video, what am I doing wrong here? The player tells that I should download certain codec, what codec do I need?
It’s because you don not have the DivX codec installed on your computer, please download DivX codec from http://www.aone-soft.com/divx511.exe for free. After the installation, Windows Media Player will be able to play AVI files produced by our program.
After I convert my video files to PSP, what should I do to get the output files transferred to my PSP properly so that I can watch the movie on it? Do I need to rename them?
You don’t have to rename the file, as the program has done that for you. Connect your PSP to the PC with USB cable. Open your PSP, and create a new folder in the root directory named MP_ROOT. Then make a folder called 100MNV01 in there. So your .MP4 files should go into E:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01, where E:\ is the drive letter of your Memory Stick. This MP_ROOT directory structure is directly cribbed from Sony's UX/VZ Clie PDA series, which also plays MPEG-4 videos. Copy and past your video into the folder is OK.
OK, go back to the main interface of PSP, select “VIDEO>Memory Stick”, then it will start playing. It is easy play the video, and press the △ button the video details will be shown.
How can I put the output video onto my iPod?
Do you have iTunes installed? It is a must. Please download it from www.apple.com. Drag the video to your iTunes or add the file to the iTunes library will be OK.
When I watch the output files on my iPod, every certain minutes, the video would freeze for a couple of seconds, and then the audio will disappear when the playback resumes. I have to rewind the iPod to get the audio again. Why? It does not happen on iTunes and QuickTime.
Please check which firmware of iPod you are using. If it is in V1.1, you would have such problem. Please upgrade its firmware to V1.1.1 released on Mar 23 2006 by Apple from http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/. After that, the playback will be smooth on your iPod.
I have successfully converted some files to AVI format. However when I watch them on my PC, I always see a DivX logo at the bottom of the playback screen. Is it possible to avoid it?
The default video codec for AVI output in our program is DivX. Therefore you will see such a logo during the playback. If you do not like it, please select "Xvid" as the video codec on the main interface. We provide "XviD Movie (*.AVI)" output, which will also assure an excellent AVI output.
